Diversity & Inclusion

Included was started with a focus on Diversity & Inclusion. The co-founders, Clare Cryer and Karina Kielbinska have spent over 20 years in value creation roles in advertising, marketing and sales. Together they co-chaired one of the most successful ERGs (Employee Resource Groups) in advertising to increase the number and influence of women in leadership. Both women are people-first leaders and having spent 18 months in partnership on their corporate side hustle decided to branch out on their own and focus entirely on making D&I measurable and deliverable in industries that really need to change.

Our belief in Inclusion

If a workplace is inclusive, it is a place where people feel they belong. Those people are encouraged by leadership behaviours to be themselves and to contribute. Leadership is engaged and invested in evolving the systems & processes to motivate their diverse workforce. And they take every possible opportunity to put those differences to use for the good of the business.

Being inclusive encourages diversity. Diversity has a positive impact not because any minority brings some illusive magic. Diversity has an impact because it makes the whole group more open, less fixed and homogenous in decision making. Diverse teams question each other more, they consider different evidence and perspectives. They allow the difference in the individuals to deliver for the whole.
